Dimmitt PTSA is hosting a meeting on Wednesday, April 20th at 7:00 p.m. in the Dimmitt Library. The focus of the meeting will be:
- State Standardized Testing – the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC). Michele Murphy, one of Dimmitt’s Assistant Principals, will go through the test schedule, the tests that each grade level will be taking, what test questions look like, and how to do practice tests at home. This is timely, valuable information as testing begins April 25th!
- Voting in an Executive Committee for the 2016-2017 school year. We need at least 10 members to attend to achieve quorum, required for voting. So far, we have the following nominations:
- Secretary – Tina Wyche
- Treasurer – Gina Dahlman
- Nominations are still being accepted for President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions about the responsibilities and training for any position and are willing to be nominated. It’s fun to work together for the good of our school community, and it’s not a huge time commitment.
